I've been made aware of some disturbing information getting around Finley latley. Multiple people have informed me that another local business has been giving out bad information, such as "Don't switch to the NBN, They can't force you" and other such things. This is complete nonsense, and if you've been told this, you have been given bad information. Let's get into the actual FACTS. and here it is: If you wish to keep your landline service (House Phone, Internet, Etc), then you will have to switch over to the NBN. Why you ask? Because the old network gets turned off by Telstra roughly 18 months after the NBN becomes available in an area. (For us in Finley, that would put the estimated cut off date as September 2019) So that means, after September 2019 (Estimated Date), if you haven't switched to the NBN, your Landline and Internet will be cut off.
