SCAM ALERT.

Do not get fooled by messages like this. MyGov will NEVER contact you like this, nor will they ever ask you to "Ensure your account is secure" at some random link with a threat of the account becoming locked.

If you receive a message like this on your phone, DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS, Instead...

On Android:
Enabling Spam Protection in Google Messages:
Load Google Messages App. If you're using a different messaging app, you can get Google Messages Here: http://bit.ly/3KjLcKe

Click your profile picture at the top right of the messages list.
Click [Settings], click [General], click [Spam Protection] and Enable Spam Protection.

Reporting Spam that makes it past the filter:
In any scam or spam messages that get though, click the 3 dots button at the top right, select [Details] then select [Block and report spam].

On iPhone:
Your spam blocking options are a lot more limited and a lot less useful.
iPhone can only filter ALL messages from people who are not in your address book, which will cause you to miss out on some important legit messages, such as 2FA codes, doctors appointment reminders, and other such things.

But, if you want to go through that, then open [Settings], select [Messages], and turn on [Filter Unknown Senders]. but remember, this will hide some legit important messages.
