Nobody will ever call you about your computer having a virus. Nobody will ever call you from "NBN Co". Nobody will ever call you from Microsoft. In fact, NOBODY WILL EVER CALL YOU ABOUT YOUR COMPUTER. If you receive any phone call about your computer or internet, IT'S A SCAM. HANG UP ON THEM. Do not open command prompt, or your web browser, don't type anything in anywhere or go to any website they tell you to go to. Hell, DON'T EVEN TURN YOUR COMPUTER ON while you're on the phone.

There's no Telstra mobile signal in Finley. After talking to support, they confirmed that it may take up to 24 hours to fix.

A report from Financial Times ( via 9to5Google ) says that a study of 34 of the most popular mobile apps found that at least 20 of them send sensitive user data to Facebook without obtaining the user’s consent beforehand. Such data may include information that users wouldn’t want to divulge, such as whether they have any children, and this is illegal in Europe under the new GDPR privacy act. The list of apps found to share data with Facebook without consent includes Kayak, MyFitnessPal, Skyscanner and TripAdvisor, the report explains. At least 61 per cent of apps tested automatically transfer data to Facebook the moment a user opens the app . This happens whether people have a Facebook account or not, or whether they are logged into Facebook or not. I've been made aware of some disturbing information getting around Finley latley. Multiple people have informed me that another local business has been giving out bad information, such as "Don't switch to the NBN, They can't force you" and other such things. This is complete nonsense, and if you've been told this, you have been given bad information. Let's get into the actual FACTS. and here it is: If you wish to keep your landline service (House Phone, Internet, Etc), then you will have to switch over to the NBN. Why you ask? Because the old network gets turned off by Telstra roughly 18 months after the NBN becomes available in an area. (For us in Finley, that would put the estimated cut off date as September 2019) So that means, after September 2019 (Estimated Date), if you haven't switched to the NBN, your Landline and Internet will be cut off. Telstra ​​ mobile network is down in Finley NSW. There's a crane up working on the cell tower, but for residents of Finley, don't expect it to be working before 02-09-2015. This will affect all Telstra mobile customers, all mobile internet users (USB Dongles), and any company that uses the Telstra network (eg; Aldi Mobile.)
